Basteltreff - An Afternoon of Paper, Glue and Glitter

On Wednesdays when Clara's painting class is canceled, we go to a children's craft club at our local community center. They make all kinds of craft projects - play dough, papier marché piggy banks, origami, holiday decorations. Last year we used to go crafting every week and I did voluntary work there as part of my Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training (yes, community service or seva or kharma yoga in yogic terms is part of becoming a yoga teacher). The children come mainly from ethnic backgrounds and it is always a pleasure to see their own unique creations.

Clara LOVES it.
Mostly because there is one thing that is an absolute no-no in our home.

loads of it

With carnival coming we made masks today.

Of all animals - tigers, cats, bats - Clara chose to make

a pink glittery butterfly.
